Uganda
RNB’s current project in Uganda is raising funds to enable Christine K., a single mother of two young boys, to buy land and build a house and workshop, where she can earn a living by making uniforms for school children. RNB assisted with the purchase of knitting and sewing machines, but the space where Christine now works and lives with her boys is very cramped. While we continue to assist her with rent for this small space, RNB recently provided a grant to Christine to buy land. The next step is to raise enough money for materials and labor to build a house and workshop, which would improve Christine’s life and that of her sons immensely. Our goal is to raise $12,000 for the project.
